Welcome to Junior Star Singer Songwriter Extra
Welcome to the new Junior Star Singer Songwriter Extra shows which have been produced especially to promote the Junior Star Singer Songwriter 2018 competition.
We have episodes for the north of the country and also the south of the UK.
Our southern shows are being produced on Brooklands Radio in Weybridge. Brooklands shares history with the brand as it was the first ever to produce the pilot which was called 'Brooklands Future Starz'. Graham Laycock has not only produced the original shows but now produces promo shows for Junior Star Singer Songwriter, allowing young future contestants to go on the show and get exposure before they enter the competition.
Our previous judge from 2017, Georgia Lois, and contestant from Future Starz, Teide Bryce, are the new presenters for the show. They will be interviewing contestants, listening to them sing and there's a few more surprises along the way. Teide and Georgia will be reviewing tracks with amazing lyric stories and giving their stories on amazing new and up and coming artists. Look out for Georgia and Teide who will be on the next JSS tour appearing on live shows across the UK.
Our northern shows are recorded at Phoenix Radio 96.7 in Halifax, with the help of the fantastic Howard Priestley. The shows are presented by the dynamic trio of Kasey Wray Wooderson (pictured right, below), Shivani Kumar (centre) and Emily Taylor Smith (pictured left), all previous contestants of the 2016 round of Junior Star Singer Songwriter. Like Teide and Georgia in the southern shows, they will be talking about topics around music within and outside of the world of Junior Star Singer Songwriter.
